Barbi Benton in 1970
Barbi Benton became a popular name during the ’70s in America. Having first appeared in Playboy magazine, she was soon cast as an extra on the show “Playboy After Dark.” That was short-lived; however, once the founder of the adult empire Hugh Hefner fell in love with her, she got promoted to co-host the program.
The romance between the two lasted for seven years. During this time, Benton appeared as a featured singer on the TV series “Hee Haw.” She also released five studio albums which had a fair share of success. In 1979 she married George Gradow, who worked in the real estate business.
