In his book “Yes to Europe!” Robert Saunders writes about the campaign where the local government asked the UK populace to decide whether it wanted to stay as a part of Europe. A referendum showed there were two sides. One wanted to stay with the campaign slogan “Europe or Bust,” while the other wanted to split; their motto was “Out and into the world.”

The Mirror hired supermodels that were 20-something years old for the campaign. Beverley Pilkington was one of them, as seen in this image. Just like the newspaper suggested, she’d have definitely given the voters a point or two to consider before making their decisions.
