Susan Maughan, 82, Born In 1938 – Bobby’s Girl

Another big name in the English music scene during the ’60s is Susan Maughan, famous for the hit single Bobby’s Girl. The song rose to No. 3 in the U.K. Singles Chart during the Christmas time of 1962. It also climbed to No. 6 in the Norwegian chart that same year.

Apart from music, Maughan did television work and was a popular guest on shows like Ready Steady Go! and the Morecambe & Wise Show. And that’s not all, for she also became starred in the musical film What A Crazy World as its female lead. Today, Maughan lives with her theatre director husband, Nick Leigh, in Eastbourne.
