Kris Kristofferson, 84, Born In 1936 – The Highwaymen

One of the key figures of the outlaw country music movement, singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson, joined the country supergroup The Highwaymen in 1984. His bandmates were the likes of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings, which meant there was no lack of talent and charisma in the best-selling act.
Before making it to The Highwaymen, Kristofferson worked extensively since 1959 to turn himself into one of country music’s most notable representatives. He also acted, and he became famous for appearing in A Star Is Born, the 1976 musical film that inspired Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s 2018 same-named box-office hit.
