Bob Dole, 97, Born In 1923 – United States Senator From Kansas
Native to Russell, Kansas, Bob Dole is an American politician whose career spanned nearly five decades. He has borne many titles during that time, including United States Senator from Kansas, Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, and Senate Majority Leader.
Dole served in the military for six years before pursuing higher education from Washburn University and becoming an attorney. Today, he is 97 years old and is still with his long-time wife Elizabeth Hanford, also a politician. Despite several health concerns over the years, Dole has survived. However, unfortunately, he was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in 2021 and is currently undergoing treatment.
