Jay Leno – $15 Million
Jay Leno was already a pretty well-known comedian when, in 1992, after Johnny Carson Retired, he was entrusted with taking over hosting the Tonight Show. As the host of the Tonight Show, Leno oversaw some of the best ratings the show has had and also dominated the late-night TV landscape.
Although he left the show in 2009 to pursue a primetime show called the Jay Leno Show, he eventually returned to The Tonight Show. Leno has since left the show, leaving it to Jimmy Fallon, but continues to maintain a stand up touring schedule and a web series called Jay Leno’s Garage.
