Dean Winters was already a popular name in the biz when he landed the role of Mayhem in the Allstate commercials. However, he said he owed the insurance company big time because it trusted him at the time in his life when he had just gotten through an ordeal that saw some of his toes amputated.
In the commercials, the actor wreaked havoc everywhere he went, thereby underlining the need for a policy. In real life, Winters has been lucky enough to bag roles in several shows like “30 Rock,” “Oz,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” In 2021, rumors spread that the star would be reprising his role as Mayhem for Allstate.
