Brigitte Bardot from “Comic Strip” in 1967
Former French singer and actress Brigitte Bardot’s fans know her as a symbol of feminine allure from the late ’50s and ’60s. A recipient of multiple awards, she was ranked second in “50 Most Beautiful Women In Film” by Los Angeles Times Magazine.
While she was a brunette, Bardot began bleaching her locks in 1956. Fast forward to 1967, she wore this wig in her natural color for an episode of Serge Gainsbourg’s “Comic strip” series. Bardot’s hit films include “Et Dieu… Créa la Femme” and “Contempt.” She often wore her own outfits for filming, and women worldwide copied her signature cat-eye liner and backcombed updo.
