Crispin Glover Shows Off His Martial Arts Skills
To promote his 1987 film “River’s Edge,” Crispin Glover booked an interview with David Letterman. On July 28, the actor appeared on “Late Night with David Letterman” and both the host and onlookers were surprised by his elaborate get-up which included a wig and some fancy footwear.
By this time, Glover had already built up a reputation as an eccentric and gloriously crazed cult performer but what happened on television next was quite unprecedented. The “Back to the Future” star proceeded to show off his martial arts skills by almost karate-kicking Letterman’s face off. Needless to say, the NBC host was less than amused.
