Jim Carter, 72, Born In 1948 – Downton Abbey
No other role of Jim Carter can match that of Charles Carson on the TV series and feature film Downton Abbey. Since bagging the character in 2010, the English actor has already garnered four Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Carter, who lives in West Hampstead, north London, starred alongside Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson on PBS’ King Lear in 2018. But with Downton Abbey returning for a sequel coming out in Christmas of 2021, as producers told the American media, Carter will also be returning as one of its cast members.
