Colin Ferguson – Maytag
Fans of Maytag are aware that actor Jesse White portrayed its mascot from 1967 to 1988, so they were surprised to see a younger, more chiseled man acting as the repairman in 2014. The new role was given to Canadian star Colin Ferguson, whose acting credits include “Cedar Cove,” “Eureka,” “Then Came You,” and “The Vampire Diaries.”
Ferguson’s repairman donned a darker blue uniform. When asked about this stint, he told Media Village that he loved the job so much and he had helped the company’s sales increase. Despite some people saying he sold out by doing commercials, he noted how Oscar winners like Helen Mirren did advertisements, too!
