Kevin Garnett and Brandi Padilla were introduced by record producer Jimmy Jam Harris, who at the time was married to Padilla’s sister Lisa. Brandi and Kevin hit it off and soon were dating. The one-time MVP and NBA champion eventually popped the question to her in 2004.
They married that same year, with Garnett missing the 2004 Olympics to get married. Although the marriage didn’t last, they have two children together, and in 2018 Padilla filed for divorce. It got pretty messy after that, with Padilla opposing a prenup she signed before she got married. Garnett reportedly has to pay her $300k a month in spousal support.
