Sharon Tate on the sets of “Valley of the Dolls”

The 1967 feature “Valley of the Dolls” was not much appreciated by the critics for having an offensive and adult theme. Starring Barbara Perkins, Patty Duke, and Sharon Tate, the film was full of vulgar displays. The film is based on these three women, who get addicted to drugs in the entertainment industry.

Tate went on to marry director Roman Polanski in 1968 in London, UK. Following that, she only worked in two other films, unfortunately, before she was murdered. All in all, she had a very short-lived career having worked on only about a dozen titles. She’d also worked on a soundtrack in the TV series “The Beverly Hillbillies.”
