Chaka Khan in the ’70s
Chaka Khan is a legendary singer who rose to fame when her band Rufus collaborated with Stevie Wonder on the song “Tell Me Something Good.” However, this picture here is older than that. It’s from the time when she was switching from one band to the other before finally being discovered by the Rufus band members.
Interestingly, Khan’s mother was an opera fan, while her father loved jazz, so she grew up amidst music. Her legacy and success are recognized to this day. In 2021 Khan appeared on an episode of the TV show ”American Idol” to sing a medley of her greatest hits.
