Brigitte Bardot in the ’50s
French actress Brigitte Bardot was formerly a ballerina. It was probably that extensive dance experience that kept her fit and radiant. Also known by her initials B.B., she landed her first acting job in “Le Trou Normand” while she was only a teenager. The image here is from her earlier days of acting during the ’50s.
Subsequently, she gained international fame and recognition with her role in “Et Dieu… Créa la Femme” in 1956. She played Juliette Hardy in the film, a woman in a love triangle with two brothers. Bardot is also an active animal rights activist and established the Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
