From the Golden to the Groovy Era, Revisit the Most Nostalgic Images From Showbiz History

Elizabeth Montgomery from “Johnny Cool” in 1963

Elizabeth Montgomery did several roles here and there, all thanks to her father’s connections, long before she gave her most famous performance. The 1964 TV series starring her as Samantha Stephens in “Bewitched” was the defining point in her life that made her a household name all over the United States.

The drama was very well received, to the point that a bronze statue of her in her witch character was erected in Salem, Massachusetts, in June 2005. This photo, however, is from the 1963 film “Johnny Cool,” in which she acted alongside Henry Silva. Montgomery once said in an interview that she credits all her success to her father.
