Stephen Pitches A LOTR Sequel To Peter Jackson
Stephen Colbert is one of the biggest “Lord of the Rings” fans out there so when he had the chance to work with Peter Jackson on his show, the host went all-in with his LOTR tribute. For the upcoming 20th anniversary of the epic Middle Earth saga, Colbert decided to pay tribute in a big way.
Before he shot his epic sketch, Colbert booked a ticket on a charter plane to meet Jackson in New Zealand. To pitch his version of LOTR to the legendary filmmaker, Colbert decided to create an elaborate sketch that also included cameos from cast members like Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, and Viggo Mortensen.
