Zaz
Isabelle Geffroy, known under the pseudonym of ZAZ, is a singer from Tours, France, who mixes nu jazz, soul and acoustic styles in her music. In 2001, Zaz started her singing career in the blues group “Fifty Fingers”. She sang in musical groups in Angoulême, notably in a jazz quintet. In November 2010, Zaz’s debut album went double platinum, and she received the “Revelation Song” award from the Charles Cros Academy. Zaz also won the European Border Breaker Awards: she was named the most performed French artist abroad in 2010. According to a poll published by L’Internaute, Zaz is the most favorite French singer in the 2010 ranking.
