Taylor, inspired by country singer Shania Twain, grew up listening to her music and dreamed of a career in country music. Imagine how surreal it must be for her to not only meet her idol but also break her records. In January 2022, Taylor surpassed Shania’s record for the most weeks at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
Shania held the record at 97 weeks, but Taylor reached 98 weeks. Shania graciously congratulated her on Twitter, saying records are meant to be broken by new generations. Taylor also added an academic title to her resume, receiving an honorary doctorate from New York University in 2022 for her significant accomplishments.
