Bird Strikes!
This seagull was flying back home like any other bird. Little did it know, it was about to have a run-in with a family on a roller coaster ride. As the family was on their last descent, enjoying the wind in their hair and the rush of the ride, they ended up colliding with our unsuspecting seagull friend.
This kind of accident is called a “bird strike.” It’s when a flying creature like a bird, collides with a moving vehicle, like an airplane or in this case, a roller coaster. In the USA alone, there have been over 13,000 reported cases of bird strikes. That’s a lot of angry birds!
