In high school, Tony Hark earned more money than his teachers, bringing in roughly $100K a year. He has grown his wealth through various endorsement deals, his skate tour called Boom Boom Huckjam and Tony Hawk Pro Skater, a video game that sold millions between 1999 and 2015.
Hawk is hailed as a pioneer in vertical skateboarding. His daredevil style made him a World Skateboard Champion 12-times in a row, and he is the first skater to complete a 900, i.e. two and a half revolutions in mid-air. Because of his acrobatic ability, he became known as the Birdman. Hawk used the name in a play of words to name his skate company, called Birdhouse.
